THE NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE
The Nominations Committee is responsible for ensuring the Board is composed of qualified leaders with a diversity of skills and experience.
How is the nominations committee appointed? The Nominations Committee is composed of one director (the past president) and four members at large. The committee is appointed by the Board upon recommendation from the President and the Governance Committee. No member of the committee can be running for election in that given year, and the committee may recommend additional members to the Board as needed.
The committee determines the Character, Commitment, and Competencies (the 3C’s) required to form a strong governance team on the Board. It leads the search for individuals who fit the 3C’s criteria and whose unique experience and skills will add value to the Board.
Committee members take a proactive role in encouraging nominations from individuals who possess the desired traits.
They also lead the nomination process, which includes collecting materials, scheduling and conducting interviews, evaluating nomination packages and nominees based on articulated criteria, conducting reference checks, and recommending the final slate of candidates. The committee also provides regular updates to the Board as needed.

Hear
from our Directors
Serving as a Director and now the President of the Association of Interior REALTORS® has been an incredible journey, one that has deeply enriched my perspective on organized real estate and its ever-evolving landscape. These roles have not only broadened my understanding of the industry but also strengthened my leadership skills, which have directly contributed to my professional growth and success. The opportunity to shape the future of our profession, build meaningful relationships, and drive positive change for our members is something I’m truly passionate about. I’m incredibly proud of the growth I’ve experienced, both personally and professionally, and I’m grateful for the chance to give back to an industry that continually inspires me.
KAYTEE SHARUN
Association President
Change! It is what we tend to dread but know is necessary. Wanting to give back to our members by guiding us through inevitable change as well as driving the direction of organized Real Estate was my personal motivator to campaign for a board position. Not only has the position of Director allowed me to do that but it has also provided for increased professionalism in my own business. Consistent learning always provides for new perspectives allowing for a more multifaceted approach in all things Real Estate.
KADIN RAINVILLE
Association Vice-President
Serving as a director for the Association of Interior REALTORS® is a rewarding way to give back to the real estate industry while pursuing your passion. Volunteering in this role offers valuable opportunities to learn about governance, leadership, and the evolving landscape of organized real estate, all while fostering meaningful connections and friendships. As a director, you’ll help guide change, support fellow members, and experience both personal and professional growth through new relationships and fresh perspectives in the industry.
CHELSEA MANN
Association Past-President
I have really enjoyed my tenure as a director for the AOIR board. After nearly 30 years of being a realtor in this community, it’s been very informative and helpful to become more involved with the behind the scenes systems. As a strategic board, the role of the directors is to help set the plan for the future and not be involved with the day-to-day operations. I have taken some incredible leadership courses and learned a ton that has helped me in my own business as well as helped me give back to our association.
TAMARA STONE
Association Director
The opportunity to give back to an industry that I have worked in for over 25 years was one of the main reasons I put my name forward for election as a Director for the Association of Interior Realtors. Overall, my experience serving as a Director of both the Association of Interior Realtors and Great Vancouver Realtors has been nothing short of amazing. Learning how organized real estate functions, the ins and outs of good governance practices, and the relationships I’ve built with industry leaders are just a few of the benefits that I have gained at the same time. My time as a Director has made me a better Realtor, and a better leader for my brokerage.
STEVE JAMIESON
Association Director
Like many in the real estate profession, I believe I have strong people skills. Having been a broker-owner for many years, I also bring valuable business knowledge and experience. My previous board experience, along with having represented the South Okanagan Real Estate Board on the Commercial Council of BC, has made me familiar with the rules of order, which I know will be helpful.
I was truly thrilled to meet the other board members, many of whom, like me are new. They are a wonderful group of people, all focused on completing the amalgamation process and moving forward to enhance the support we provide to our members.
KEN DAVREUX
Association Director
